Bizzu.ch: a new way to find useful local addresses in Switzerland
A local directory to discover businesses, compare their services and get in touch more easily.

Local information deserves to be easy to find
A leaking tap, a table to book for Saturday, an appointment with a healthcare professional or a shop to discover in your neighbourhood: everyday life often starts with a very simple search. Yet turning that search into a useful contact can take time. Information is scattered, opening hours are not always easy to find, and descriptions do not necessarily make it clear what a business offers. Bizzu.ch was born from this observation: residents and businesses need a local meeting point that is clear and practical.
Our ambition fits into one sentence: your local shops and services, easy to find. We want to help everyone identify professionals in their area, understand their services and choose the right way to contact them. That takes more than a list of names. An address, a relevant category, accessible contact details, an accurate introduction and up-to-date information make the difference. This attention to detail guides the development of Bizzu.ch and the first stages of its opening.
A gradual opening, with real information
Bizzu.ch is gradually opening its directory to businesses. The first listings must be created using real, useful information. Examples used during development are not recommendations and are not part of the published directory. A search may therefore still return no results in a particular town or category. We prefer a directory that develops transparently to an artificial impression of complete coverage. Businesses can contribute to this opening by creating an account and preparing their listing.
This first version is also a work in progress. Access to the site lets users explore the different journeys and enter genuine profiles, while visibility in search engines remains disabled during preparation for the public launch. This distinction matters to professionals: a listing being accessible on the platform does not mean it is already indexed by Google. We will announce developments to the platform in this section, explaining the features available and changes that affect users.
Search using the words that describe your need
A local search rarely starts with a perfectly defined category. You might be looking for a tradesperson to repair a leak, a restaurant with a terrace or a salon near your workplace. Bizzu.ch provides one field to describe what you are looking for and another to specify a town or municipality. The aim is to connect the words describing your need with the information in listings. For useful results, specific wording works better than a vague request: the trade, the service and the location are good starting points.
Categories complement this search. They let you browse trades and building work, restaurants and cafés, health and wellness, shops, automotive businesses, home and garden, business services, and beauty and hairdressing. These entry points help you explore the activities available in an area. They do not replace reading a listing: two businesses in the same category can have very different specialities, opening hours and contact methods. The right business always depends on your particular need.
Compare without losing essential information
In a directory, an attractive presentation must also remain practical as the number of results grows. That is why the list view has a central place on Bizzu.ch. It brings together the important information for considering several businesses: name, activity, location, introduction and available actions. You can then open the profiles that match your needs without scrolling through a succession of oversized blocks. Images help explain an activity, but they should not hide contact details or the nature of the services.
Comparing also means distinguishing facts from presentation. An attractive photo does not prove a qualification. A visibility subscription does not replace an identity check. A review is feedback from an experience, with its limitations, rather than a universal guarantee. We want to make these differences understandable. When information is missing or a check has not been carried out, it should be treated accordingly. Before entrusting someone with important work, take time to ask the professional your questions directly and request the details you need.
The right contact method for each activity
You do not contact a restaurant in the same way as a renovation company. For a meal, the usual process is to book a table, specify the number of people and mention any particular requirements. For building work, you often need to describe a project and obtain a quote. For an appointment-based service, availability and the duration of the service become essential. Bizzu.ch adapts its actions to the category and the information entered in the listing, making the next step clearer.
A submitted request nevertheless remains a request. It should not be confused with final acceptance by the professional or with a payment. Read the form instructions and check the status of your request in your account area. Where a service requires confirmation, wait for the business to reply before considering your appointment confirmed. If you have an urgent or particular need, use the available contact details to explain the situation. A direct conversation often remains essential to clarify the conditions of a service.
Separate spaces for different uses
A resident, a business and a partner do not have the same tasks to carry out. A member account lets users find their requests, favourites and reviews in a personal space. A business account is used to manage a professional presence and requests associated with its listings. The partner programme has its own journey, intended for professionals who support clients. Finally, administration manages the platform and its content under specific permissions. This separation should help everyone understand where to act and which information belongs to them.
Signing in remains straightforward: a single page provides access to your account, then your actual permissions determine the spaces available. Creating an account does not grant access to other users' private information. Similarly, entering a business name does not prove ownership of an existing listing. These principles matter when building a service where contact details, requests and permissions remain consistent. You can prepare your profile, then complete the professional information needed when you create a listing.
Giving local businesses a place
A local business knows its customers, its area and the particularities of its trade. That knowledge deserves a clear presentation online. Bizzu.ch aims to let a workshop, practice, restaurant or shop show exactly what it offers: its main services, opening hours, service area and ways to get in touch. A well-completed listing helps visitors even before the first conversation. It also saves professionals from repeatedly answering the same basic questions.
Visibility plans let businesses enrich this presence according to the needs of each activity. Always consult the pricing page for the features and conditions displayed at the time you make your choice. Promotion can help a listing get noticed in the directory, but it does not promise a number of customers, revenue or a search engine position. The quality of the information, the relevance of the offer and the response to requests remain decisive elements of the business relationship.
Building trust over time
Trust grows through consistent practices: correcting an address, updating opening hours, explaining a service, responding to a request and moderating contributions when necessary. No badge can fully replace this work. Reviews must relate to a real experience and respect the people concerned. Professionals should be able to present their activity accurately, without unverifiable claims. Visitors should be able to identify information that still needs confirmation. These are concrete objectives that we want to develop alongside the platform.
This News & advice section will support that effort. Here you will find guides to creating a useful listing, preparing a quote request and choosing a service provider for your situation. We will also explain changes to Bizzu.ch. To begin, explore the categories in your area or create your business account. If your activity is not yet represented, an accurate, complete listing can become one of the first useful points of reference for residents. Local services gain value when they become easier to discover and understand.
